STORY AND PLACE (2024)
Arcylic and chalk pastel on canvas, 1.7m x 1.2m

This painting was created for a class at NIDA called Story and Place, taught by the wonderful Bernadette Hardy. It is an expression of my connection to the country I grew up on. I grew up in Sydney on Eora land, sandwiched between mountains on one side and a huge, endless ocean on the other. This painting talks to that relationship between the mountains, the sky, and the water. I left the completion of the painting up to the ocean when I took it for a stormy dip at Maroubra.

"GGIVEEEE MEEEEE YOUR DIRRRTYYYYY UNDERWEAR" (2023)
A unique and complex project about my relationship with laundry. Have you ever woken in the night and sworn that your laundry basket has a pair of eyes, four arms, and antlers? Forget the creature that lives under the bed, I am the creature inhabiting your dirty clothes.
